DECORA is an innovative machine providing a fast yet careful means to
automatically separate the core and florets from cauliflowers and calabrese. It
is capable of processing up to 120 heads per minute.
With the exception of the conveyor, the DECORA is constructed entirely in 316
stainless steel, having a box-section frame, and is designed to simplify
cleaning and maintenance. The conveyor itself consists of high-density
polyethylene blocks. These are machined to form a series of self-centering cups
in which cauliflower heads are placed by hand, core uppermost, and may be
manually raised or lowered according to the desired length of the florets.
The machine features an in feed product conveyor between the two lanes of
product carriers. This conveyor has a product sensor which automatically
controls the belt.
